Romans #7: What about Israel? a look at Romans 9-11
Monday Sep 26, 2022
Monday Sep 26, 2022
Rob and Vinnie tackle the oft-debated Romans 9-11 and ask: what was Paul trying to say and how does this affect modern-day Israel and the Jewish people? Will there be an end-times revival among the Jewish people?
This episode is a deep dive into the text and so it would be good if you have a Bible (or a phone with a Bible app) as you follow along in text.

Romans #4 God’s Faithfulness through Jesus
Monday Aug 29, 2022
Monday Aug 29, 2022
Rob and Vinnie discuss Romans 1-3 and examine the question of God's faithfulness. Paul argues that we are "all" (Jews and Gentiles) guilty before God, which puts in jeopardy God's promise to Abraham and to the world to redeem creation and to restore humanity to His divine presence. What then is the solution? Jesus! "The faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe" (Rom 3:22).
The conversation finishes with "what does this mean for us?"

Rob and Vinnie interview one of the leading NT scholars in the world Michael Gorman regarding his new commentary on the book of Romans: Romans: A Theological and Pastoral Commentary.
We address questions regarding the meaning and purpose of Romans: Does Romans teach that we must submit to our government at all times? What does Romans say about the restoration of Israel? What is the significance of the women mentioned in Romans 16?

Join us for today's episode with 2020 Presidential candidate Mark Charles and the author of Unsettling Truths: The Ongoing, Dehumanizing, Legacy of the Doctrine of Discovery, as we wrestle with the doctrine of discovery and its impact on the indigenous peoples of North America. In this episode, we grapple with the treatment of Native Americans and the church's role in supporting the horrific and genocidal treatment of the native people of this land. This powerful interview will certainly leave you uncomfortable. But it is a past that we must reckon with if we are to ever move forward in bringing conciliation.

Monday Jul 25, 2022
Listeners are in for a treat today. Rob and Vinnie interview Dave and Kim Shields on life in the mission field. After returning to the US Dave went on to serve as the Campus pastor for a multi-site church and later still as the director of Missions for a large church in No California. They returned to the missions field by moving to the Philippines and working with those who were rescued from sex trafficking. Kim continues to work with a ministry in the Philippines today.
